Today we finished our ROV!!

We finished our hydraulics (and secured the tubing) and made sure all the air bubbles were out. We taped everything together, and made sure everything was ready for test day. We also moved the ROV around the pool, to get practice with the controls.

Jenny and Quinn put velcro on the ROV and the camera, so that we can attach the camera to the ROV.

Yessica finished our Fish ID, and found all the fishes and labeled their common names.

Today we started off by testing to see if the hydraulics worked.

We used tubing and a syringe to test this out.

Jenny attached the tongs onto the ROV using duct tape. We made sure that the tongs were attached onto the ROV correctly.

Quinn made sure everything was attached and ready to be tested in the water!

We checked the buoyancy of our ROV and made adjustments as needed.

We made sure all the motors on our ROV functioned correctly and got used to maneuvering our ROV.

We collected materials that we thought could help us with some tasks. Next class we plan on attaching these materials to our ROV.
